The future of highways

Ad

Every aspects of life is changing rapidly with advancement in technology, transfiguring the whole environment into more efficient and intelligent one. Now it's time for our Highways. In future we civil engineers are going to use solar materials for highway construction that will be monitored and managed using real time monitoring artificially intelligent systems(Structural Health Monitoring Systems) which will be capable of communicating with everything on the track. The network of communication will be set up among cars and highway components with GPS systems. It is anticipated that rapid urbanisation, climate change, changes in human behaviour and resource depletion would be major consequences of such giant step towards AI implementation in highway sector.
The main aim is to generate clean and renewable power using solar panels on road surfaces. Vehicles will be able to receive energy wirelessly, either in rest or motion. For cold regions the panels will be equipped with LED lighting and heating arrangements to melt snow. The recent development in material science is quite promising that we will be able to manufacture batteries with huge electric storage and improved performance.
The vehicles will become a thing to be used by even old or disabled persons with the help of computer. As vehicle will be self aware of it's surrounding and will have more control over it's speed, acceleration and braking mechanism, it will better react to any emergency situations coming forth suddenly. This will further increase in the number of vehicle on highways and resulting into increased traffic problems, yet with fully automated navigation systems we will be able to control easily, however complex is traffic pattern and distribution.

Sap2000 v17.2

The SAP name has been synonymous with state-of-the-art analytical methods since its introduction over 30 years ago. SAP2000 follows in the same tradition featuring a very sophisticated, intuitive and versatile user interface powered by an unmatched analysis engine and design tools for engineers working on transportation, industrial, public works, sports, and other facilities. From its 3D object based graphical modeling environment to the wide variety of analysis and design options completely integrated across one powerful user interface, SAP2000 has proven to be the most integrated, productive and practical general purpose structural program on the market today. This intuitive interface allows you to create structural models rapidly and intuitively without long learning curve delays. Now you can harness the power of SAP2000 for all of your analysis and design tasks, including small day-to-day problems. Complex Models can be generated and meshed with powerful built in templates. Mars: will soon house humans

Ad There's been a lot of discussion on question "Are we Martians?". The question is still to be answered. But now there seems no more doubt on "Is Mars our future home?", the answer is "YES". A 3-D product designer Noah Hershberger, who won a recent challenge from NASA 's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Makerbot to design a bio-shielding dwelling for the red planet.  The current environment of Mars doesn't welcome human habitation even construction over there would have been an impossible task( to withstand -80 degree temperatures, constant space radiation, and frequent dust storms) but not now in the light of recent development in 3-D printing. They are seeking to use locally available Mar dust and binder to print the elegant Beehive like apartment plan proposed by Noah Hershberger.   Below are some key features and issued images of a Two bed room apartment of future on Mars.  The apartment includes  a garden and a  3-D printer  room.  To keep...
