Mars: will soon house humans

Ad There's been a lot of discussion on question "Are we Martians?". The question is still to be answered. But now there seems no more doubt on "Is Mars our future home?", the answer is "YES". A 3-D product designer Noah Hershberger, who won a recent challenge from NASA 's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Makerbot to design a bio-shielding dwelling for the red planet.  The current environment of Mars doesn't welcome human habitation even construction over there would have been an impossible task( to withstand -80 degree temperatures, constant space radiation, and frequent dust storms) but not now in the light of recent development in 3-D printing. They are seeking to use locally available Mar dust and binder to print the elegant Beehive like apartment plan proposed by Noah Hershberger.   Below are some key features and issued images of a Two bed room apartment of future on Mars.  The apartment includes  a garden and a  3-D printer  room.  To keep...

World's first 3D printed Estate, soon to be erected

Ad The dream to construct building flexibly for public and private habitation has been under way since 2004. The technology uses large 3D printers to construct/print buildings in remarkably lesser time than usually taken by the normal construction technique. The method has been successfully demonstrated by working versions of 3D printers that were able to print 2 m of building materials per hour. Later on a Chinese company WinSun built 10 one-room houses within 24 hrs at US $5,000 cost. Many Dutch and Chinese company has built houses successfully using 3D printers, but the New York City Architect and Contractor Adam Kushner is going to exceed them all. The owner of company D-Shape, Enrico Dini and Kushner are teaming up to construct/print first ever 3D printed estate featuring a 3D printed swimming pool, 4-bedroom, 2400 sq. feet home, and more. 3D printing of the entire estate in Gardiner, New York will be done by KUSHNER Studios . It has planned to work in 3 stages for construction...

Google glasses: Transforming Construction Industry

Ad An engineer, a contractor or an owner seeks to precisely control over every element in construction process. Each year huge amount of money(billions of dollars) is wasted in construction projects due to inefficiency and inaccuracy. Time period of any construction project is directly linked to it's total cost of construction, which is determined by the level of technologies we use in civil engineering construction. So, there is only way to reduce such redundant expenditure is use of advance technology, that helps communication to keep transparent between involved ones, eliminating unnecessary delays caused by failure of co-ordination between contractors. One may wonder how GOOGLE GLASSES will help construction, similar to apps we use in our smartphones, we will be able to use apps built for it and with aid of apps integrated with GPS , GIS , ERDAS , CAD and other, imagine what and how fast a professional can extract information and conclusions out. Procore is ready to build s...
